Layering children’s voices
Posted: August 29th, 2009 | Author: Vanessa Hughes | Filed under: Vanessa Hughes & Zoe Norton Lodge: Under Milk Wood, archives, audio, gwennie, singing, video, zoe | 4 Comments »A wonderful day of hardcore audio, Zoe and I channeling the delights of bullying children for Gwennie’s song and arguably the most superior narration in the work. Found old footage of mid-20th century Welsh children playing: girl with girls, boys with boys. Hop, skip and jump, rolling wheels down cobbled streets, manic dancing in circles, swinging off ropes in the town park. Will post audio soon.

When Ness does post the audio, be sure to sit directly in front of your monitor with both speakers on to hear the girls running through the lanes.
Wow guys! I’m really, really impressed. I just stumbled across your blog and I’m blown away.
Best of luck to you all in this endeavor, it looks fantastic. I feel so out of touch on the other side of the world, but I’ll be following your projects.
Much love, James Dator
